Your heart’s desire is to see your children begin a lifelong, joy-filled relationship with Jesus Christ! We share that desire and make that our mission. We have a caring staff and volunteers. We work hard and pray to create a loving, safe environment where children can come to know Christ, love Him, and serve Him.
At Summit Ridge Church, we don't believe that the youth are merely the future of the church, but active, vital parts of the body of the Church right now. Along with dozens of ministry opportunities for the students to engage, there are two main settings for the students to be discipled and grow in their faith surrounded by their peers while having a rad time simultaneously.
Sunday worship encourages fully devoted worshippers to proclaim their love to God. Likewise it allows those with seeking hearts to meet God through our Word centered worship. Musically we worship instrumentally and vocally in appreciation for both new (contemporary) and old (hymns).
We love our troops and families at Summit! With Pastor John having served in the Marines, he and a host of others who have served and retired from the military understand the demands and changes of those who serve. For years now we have served and cared for individuals and families that have been actively serving while stationed in Vegas. We support families while their loved ones are deployed, we have specific discipling opportunities that include military families with their varying schedules, and we have a care team for those deployed too!
In fact, we make it known to our church family that our aim is not comfort when it comes to relationships... but increased pain. Sound strange? It is - here's why...
When people come to Summit and engage in the church body we build deep and long-lasting relationships - we grow close. So, as with all the military, they eventually are reassigned and that leaving, quite frankly, hurts! So the natural tendency would be to protect ourselves from that pain and not build relationships. But that's not what God has called us to do! Truthfully, the greater the pain when someone leaves almost always means greater ministry and deeper relationship - discipleship - has taken place. And that is our goal. So we will embrace the pain, embrace the fears and love and care for our military families as best we can for the glory of God.
It is our desire to display the Good News of Jesus in the city of Las Vegas. In Jeremiah 29:7, the people of God are told to seek the good of the city, and this is how we approach local outreach. We believe that we are a part of God's mission to bring renewal to our city. We seek to fulfill this mission through acts of service, engaging in our community as a community, and strategic partnerships with local organizations.
We believe that the mission of the church is to go into the world and make disciples by declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit and gathering these disciples into churches, that they might worship the Lord and obey His commands now and in eternity to the glory of God the Father. In fulfillment of this mission, we are engaged on multiple fronts around the world.
Joshua’s Men is broken down into (2) five-month block commitments for Christian men to the development of Christian character and Spiritual leadership for the purpose of intentionally becoming more like Jesus and all God desires of us as men. (Do one, or both - it's up to you)
