Special Addition: Is The Lord Opening A Place For A New Location For Us?

This week we submitted what’s called a “Letter of Intent” (LOI) for a new property that is 2.5 miles from where we have been meeting since 2015. (For clarity, a LOI is simply a document that says to the owner that we are interested in leasing his space and are they interested in leasing to us? It does not yet commit us to a property, it just gets a dialogue started. But, we have started a conversation at least.)
 
This is something we have been praying about for over seven years – a place that is not shared and allows us a space that isn’t limited due to other occupants. So, we are asking if this is the property that God is opening for us.
 
The location would give us our own space of 7,500sf – significantly more square footage than we currently have! The location is at the corner of Rainbow and Rancho. We would be sharing the parking lot with another church but we are hopeful that it is manageable (we’re still exploring that). The hope is that if this facility is workable and open to us, that we can design a space just for us – e.g. sanctuary, kids rooms, prayer room, foyer, etc. We love the idea!
 
We have many questions still that are unanswered. But the first step is to see if it is a location the owner would lease for us. If he says “yes” then we will need to diligently work to answer those questions quickly in order to finalize a lease for us. There is still much to happen!
 
So now comes your part with us… we need to pray! We are asking that God would very clearly leave this door open or close it! The owner meets with our realtor this week to discuss our LOI and if this is an option for us or not. Pray that God will move in the owners heart to open or close this door. We really do not want to move forward with a building (and a building project) if He is not in this!
 
This is an exciting possibility for us. We haven’t had an opportunity like this since 2019 where the Lord graciously closed that door for us. May He make His will clear again for us. We’re hopeful.
