Fall Small Group Preview

This Fall we are excited to announce the roll-out for our new Small Groups at Summit Ridge!

These groups will offer a wide variety of studies that will better meet the practical and spiritual needs of our growing church.

Here’s a sampling of the 18 various groups coming in the Fall:

  • Does prayer ever feel clunky? Is it ever awkward to go to the Lord with others? Do you ever feel like you’re just not good at it? There are several Prayer Cohorts that will encourage and challenge us to pray together and enrich our personal prayer lives. We seek to be a people of prayer and highly encourage you to attend these groups.
  •
  • What's better than considering the person and work of Christ? Two groups will be studying on the “Person of Jesus” reflecting particularly on his compassion and how it transforms our hearts and minds.
  • Maybe you are looking at the world around you and asking yourself "How did things get so sideways?" A class on "Hidden Worldviews: Eight Cultural Stories That Shape Our Lives" will better equip you to engage our culture thoughtfully, gracefully and gospelly.
  • The world often gets too big in our hearts. God is often replaced with various relationships - marriage, kids, employer, etc. These groups will approach the problem of when people are big, and God is small.
  • Calling all parents! We live in a world where our kids are being transformed by culture faster than we can keep up. We will be studying what God’s word says about equipping our kids and protecting our homes.
  • Perhaps you are eager to dig into Scripture and gain a deeper understanding of God's Word. This semester will offer a study in Daniel's Visions and another in the gospel of Luke, and a women's study in 1, 2, & 3 John.
  • Women’s Hope Group – Good & Angry. This women’s group will encounter the reality that anger is something we all struggle with, and that God’s word gives us hope for experiencing peace of mind and heart.
  • Coming in October! We will offer (currently) two half-semester groups. One will be a study in the first half of the book of Romans and also a men’s Hope Group – on Sexual Wholeness.

The full group descriptions and sign-ups will be available July 30th and the semester will begin August 20th!

There is something for everyone!

We look forward to diving into deeper fellowship as we seek to honor the Lord and love another.
