Our Mini-Series on Anxiety

If there is a one word that describes Christians (even our own church) today it is likely, “Stressed”. “Anxious” could be a close contender. No doubt there are good reasons for our anxieties. We are burdened by financial strains, relationship stressors, global wars, and even the upcoming holidays. There is no shortage of fears and unknowns confronting each of us.

Options abound to mitigate our many anxious thoughts: Mindfulness, psychics, diets, exercise, better sleep, getting rid of toxic people… the list is endless. But how are we as Christians called to navigate what’s truly helpful? Where do we go for relief?

God, through His Word and the person and work of Jesus Christ, has given us real help to our very anxieties and stresses. Scripture is abundantly rich in its help to the panic-stricken and its rescue of the sufferer. It begins with the repeated theme in Scripture: “I am with you.”

I hope you will join us over this four-week study of hope for the anxious, stressed and panic-attacked. Beginning tomorrow, November 12th

November 12:         Hope for the Anxious, Stressed and Panic-Attacked
November 26:         Daily Bread: Today's Strength for Anxious People
December 3:           Never enough: Factors We Would Rather Ignore
December 10:         Low, Slow & Hidden: When Anxiety Won’t Go Away

I am looking forward to drawing closer to Jesus through our time together in His Word. I’ll see you tomorrow.

Held By His Abundant Grace,

 Pastor John
