Important Updates at Summit Ridge

I have been studying through 2 Corinthians as of late and came across 2 Corinthians 7:6, "But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the arrival of Titus". I feel like this verse covers well the arrival of Pastor Marc onto our pastoral staff. We have been praying and waiting for the Lord to answer and we thank God for His kind response in bringing Marc and his wife Christine.

In today's newsletter we wanted to give you an opportunity to get to know Marc just a little bit with a short bio. Also in today's newsletter is our proposal for adding two elders in January to the elder team. We believe they have met the high standards of character that God requires and would fulfill this role of shepherding well. The two men are Steven Henry and Rick Coblentz. Rick has been an elder in two previous terms and this would be bringing him back on for a third term. While this would be Steven's first term as an elder here. [More details below.] Finally, we have a proposed budget for this coming year included here as well. As we prayerfully consider the coming year and ministry and expenses, we have carefully crafted a budget to reflect what we believe the Lord is leading us to do.

We hope you will be encouraged with the proposals and with what the Lord is doing here at Summit. I know I am deeply blessed beyond words. I thank God for you and your part in the church body.

I look forward to worshiping with you Sunday.

Nothing On My Own,
 Pastor John
